Apocalypse Now! – Climate Summit 2019

The world is in a race to limit climate change. To meet the urgent need to address climate change and achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement... U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres is convening a summit in September to raise ambition and increase climate action.
The race is on. It is a race we can win. It is a race we must win.
On September 6th, 2019 hurricane Dorian inundated the Commonwealth of the Bahamas as a category 5 storm. The destruction of the archipelago's civilian infrastructure was nearly complete. The airport on Grand Bahama Island was completely decimated... entire neighborhoods were razed. The devastating storm and loss of life in the Bahamas represent the latest casualties in the global climate crisis.

Such Climate change-fueled storms are happening with more ferocity and frequency. This hurricane season it was the Bahamas... in prior years it was Puerto Rico... the Virgin Islands... Dominica...  Haiti... The entire Caribbean is on the front line of humanity's battle with climate change. The devastation of the Bahamas conjures flashbacks of New Orleans after Katrina. The Crescent City's devastation evoked the sense that a climatic apocalypse had occurred.

These are the catastrophes that hit us here in the U. S. of A. but the crisis is global... and not confined to near sea level archipelagos. This summer... when it was reported that the Arctic started burning, it was like, “How on earth can the Arctic be burning?” And then, with the Amazon rainforest burning out of control... it became clear that the devastation of human-inhabitable Earth was happening now... climate change is now... Apocalypse Now!

This is a Call to Action: Global greenhouse gas emissions are reaching record levels and show no sign of peaking. The last four years were the four hottest on record, and winter temperatures in the Arctic have risen by 3°C since 1990. Sea levels are rising, coral reefs are dying, and we are starting to see the life-threatening impact of climate change on health, through air pollution, heatwaves and risks to food security.

In response to these catastrophes, the U. N.'s climate action summit is being held on the 23rd of September, 2019 to meet the climate challenge. UN Secretary-General António Guterres is calling on all leaders to come to New York on September 23rd with concrete, realistic plans to enhance their nationally determined contributions by 2020, in line with reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 45 percent over the next decade, and to net zero emissions by 2050.

Editor's Note: In fine synchro-mystic fashion, and by way of cosmic-trigger verification, we immediately noticed the presence of the 23 Enigma in the timing and planning of this momentous event. It is unclear that the United Nations was attempting to harness the 23 trigger, but it is clear that the signs and portents of the "23 enigma" are directing our attention to the climate summit.

Climate change is the defining issue of our time and now is the defining moment to do something about it. There is still time to tackle climate change, but it will require an unprecedented effort from all sectors of society. The Summit will showcase a leap in collective national political ambition and it will demonstrate massive movements in the real economy in support of the agenda.

The Summit will bring together governments, the private sector, civil society, local authorities and other international organizations to develop ambitious solutions in six areas:

1) A global transition to renewable energy.
2) Sustainable and resilient infrastructures and cities.
3) Sustainable agriculture.
4) Management of forests and oceans.
5) Resilience and adaptation to climate impacts.
6) Alignment of public and private finance with a net-zero economy.

New technologies and engineering solutions are already delivering energy at a lower cost than the fossil-fuel driven economy. Solar and onshore wind are now the cheapest sources of new bulk power in virtually all major economies. But we must set radical change in motion...

The climate action summit will focus on 9 interdependent tracks, or areas of action. As an old pacific northwest woods-worker and environmentalist, I resonate with the track that focuses on forests and land-based ecosystems, smart agriculture and food systems, regeneration of life in rivers, lakes and oceans and enabling of all people to connect to nature. More information on the upcoming summit may be found at the link provided below...

Finally... this Call to Action must be answered by "we the people" of the world. It is clear that the Archons who control the petrochemical industries... and their political lackeys... will do anything to maintain the status quo. In fact, they will do everything they can to push Oil & Coal, while the planet burns.

If you are citizen, vote green. If you are a consumer, vote with your pocketbook and buy green. If you are a student, join Greta Thunberg for her Friday protests. Become a climate activist. Whatever you choose to do, act like your life depends upon it... because it does.

In 2019, the autumnal equinox—also called the September equinox—will arrive on September 23 in North America.
The autumnal equinox—also called the September or fall equinox—is the astronomical start of fall in the Northern Hemisphere and of spring in the Southern Hemisphere.

And in true synchromystic fashion September 23rd just happens to be my birthday, too:-)

William Burroughs made a TV commercial for Nike in a move that was seen as a confusing betrayal for many. Nike's most famous product is the Air Jordan and Jordan's number was 23. Nike is famous for fighting Eris.
