Hi Jack, have a cigar, if you like. Zizek talks about how you cannot easily create a computer data structure which knows the difference between black coffee, coffee without milk, and coffee without cream. The person drinking the coffee knows, but for a database it is very difficult. Creating a data model which knows the difference between faces does not tell you that a tribe judges its members by their place in a community, not their facial structure or cranial measurements, and they hate being called "Something American" even though they live in the borders of the USA because the "Something" makes them an American with modifiers, denying them their own perspective.
